A Short Selection of our CNC Machining Capability

CEMO's CNC manufacturing capability, incorporating robotic accessories and automation, includes a combination of:

  • 10 CNC lathes, with capacity up to 3,000mm between centres.
  • 3 CNC vertical and horizontal 4- and 5-axis machining centres, with machining-table capacity up to 2,400mm and machining heights up to 1,000mm.
CEMO pump rotor manufacturing

An Insight into our In-House Helical Rotor Capability

Our dedicated helical rotor manufacturing capability includes a combination of:

  • Over 6,200 "G" Range rotors manufactured and supplied to Australia alone for use within the Mining Dewatering Sector.
  • 13 specialised rotor peeling and scrolling machines, currently capable of machining rotors up to 8,000mm with provision for expansion beyond this length.
  • A combination of over 15 specialised Rotor, scrolling peeling and super-finish linishing machines. This allows CEMO to manufacture a vast number of either different or the same size rotors simultaneously as we are not dependant on only one machine.
  • 3 Deep hard-chrome plating tanks, incorporating multi-anode compartments for hexavalent non-catalyst chrome plating and capable of accommodating lengths exceeding 6,000mm with substantial provision for additional capacity.

Manufacturing a rotor in-house represents only one element of CEMO's overall manufacturing capability.

Where market demand requires it, our rotor-manufacturing capacity can be rapidly expanded, doubled or, where required, increased further.

CEMO pump stator manufacturing

Our Engineered In-House Stator Manufacturing Capability

Over 13,600 "G" Range Stators manufactured and supplied to Australia alone for use within the Mining Dewatering Sector.

CEMO's stator-manufacturing capability compliments our proven rotor expertise, giving us control over the manufacture of the critical working components at the heart of the Helical Rotor Pump.

Using specialised stator-core manufacturing mills, CEMO has manufactured single, non-joined stators up to 4,700mm in length, with provision for further expansion.

Our capability includes:

  • A combination of 12 hydraulic stator rubber presses, operating at capacities up to 20 MPa and greater.
  • A combination of 8 rubber heating and curing ovens.
  • Specialised tube-preparation, vapour-degreasing and shot-blasting equipment supporting the complete manufacturing process.
  • Plant and equipment capable of manufacturing solid stators, adjustable stators and specialised stator configurations.
  • Capability across a range of elastomer options, including urethane, viton, hypalon, nitrile and natural rubber - selected according to customer fluid properties.

CEMO in-house foundry

From Billet to Casting - Our In-House Foundry

Rather than being wholly dependent on imported cast componentry, CEMO retains substantial casting capability within its own manufacturing operation. Our Foundry capability includes:

  • Twin-fueled furnaces with melting capacity up to 2,000kg.
  • A combination of sand and resin moulding equipment.
  • Dedicated metallurgical analysis capability.

CEMO manufacturing and engineering operations

Our In-House Pump Testing Facility

Manufacturing the pump is only part of the job. Proving its performance is equally important.

Our dedicated testing capability includes:

  • A test bay and 8,000L water holding tank, incorporating water cooling and chilling capability.
  • Pump testing capability up to 132 kW
  • A combination of variable speed drives, gearboxes and torque transducers.
  • A combination of 4 electronic in-line and paddle-type flow meters.

From manufacture to performance verification, CEMO retains control over the process.

The Supporting Capability that Completes the Picture

Behind our specialised machinery operations sits extensive supporting machinery, equipment and infrastructure - comprised of a combination of:

• 10 MIG, TIG and plasma welding/cutting machines, supported by welding manipulators, turntables, pre-heating ovens and vermiculite cooling baths.

• 4 Radial arms.

• 3 Helical and spur-gear cutting hobs.

• 2 Crankshaft grinders and connecting-rod resizing machines.

• 4 Cylinder and surface reboring and grinding machines.

• 12 Gantry-type overhead cranes, with longitudinal and cross travel, the majority offering lifting capacities of up to 10 tons.

• 2 Automatic drill presses.

• 3 Pipe-threading machines, with capacity up to 152mm.

• 2 Thread-rolling machines, with capacity up to 20 tons.

• 1,400 kVa standby diesel-generated power capacity.

• 5 Screw and CRM rotary compressors, delivering combined capacity of up to 800 CFM.

AND THIS REPRESENTS APPROXIMATELY 60% OF THE PICTURE ONLY.
